The Rocky Mountains are a substantial mountain range located in the west of the North American continent. They separate the more temperate coastal regions of California and the lands to the north from the more arid Great Plains, although the Plainfolk know of several passes through the vast range to the lands on the far side.
The Amtrak Federation has, so far, shown no signs of attempting to expand west of the Rockies.
