The Pacific Ocean is a vast body of water lying to the west of North America. Nippon, the ancestral homeland of the Iron Masters, lies on the other side of this ocean to the USA.
According to renegade myths, a land of peace and plenty lies just west of the Rocky Mountains, along the shores of this ocean. This mythical land is called California, and few survive to see it.
