The name given to the six states added to the Amtrak Federation after the Break-Out and before its northwards expansion into the New Territories of Colorado and Kansas. These six states are, in order of incorporation, Oklahoma (2529), Arkansas (2563), New Mexico (2602), Louisiana (2653), Mississippi (2721) and Arizona (2927).
The Federation has overall control of these states, each possessing one divisional base and several way-stations, all manned by battalions of Trail-Blazers and patrolled by Skyhawks and the occasional wagon-train. However, the Federation's manpower in each state is still limited, and some roving clans of Southern Mutes remain a problem on the overground of each state.
